The daughter of Kelowna's RCMP Superintendent, Bill McKinnon, will return to court next month on drug charges.

Lisa McKinnon made a brief court appearance Thursday, telling the judge that she has yet to gain counsel and will be seeking legal aid.

The 22 year old was arrested February 28th along with a 19 year old Kelowna woman.

McKinnon is accused of trafficking heroin and being in possession of heroin and cocaine at the time of her arrest.

The charges stem from an investigation by mounties targeting an alleged dial a dope operation.

McKinnon will return to court on April 26th, but has been told she must have counsel and enter a plea by June 21st.
