Kelowna RCMP weren't expecting a massive drug bust while responding to a call of a home invasion Tuesday morning.
Officers were responding to a break and enter in progress at a home in the 800 block of Martin Avenue just after 4:30am.
When police entered the home they found several people suffering from the effects of pepper spray, which had been deployed earlier.
A police dog was called in to help locate two suspects allegedly seen running out the front door.
While the dog didn't find the suspcts, it did locate several large bags of marijuana along a trail and inside the house weighing a total of 25kg.
An investigation is ongoing.
