The Work BC Employment Services Centre on Pandosy Street officially opened its doors Thursday afternoon to the general public.

The Centre helps clients create everything from a stronger resume to providing resources to find a job on-line.

"It is a great facility. It is a great location. We are able to serve the community very well with this store front office here on Pandosy and the satellite offices in Rutland and West Kelowna to serve residents in those communities."    

Managing Director Hannah Roots (left of photo) says the Kelowna office will assist close to four thousand people find a job this year.

    Kelowna RCMP say just after 9:00 am, a grey Toyota sedan was travelling south on Highway 97 south of Daimler Drive, when witnesses saw the driver, a 76-year-old woman, slump over behind the wheel and then watched helplessly as the car drifted into the oncoming northbound lane.

    A 32-year-old woman who was driving a blue Jeep, was not able to avoid the oncoming car and the ensuing collision spun both vehicles almost 180 degrees. Read More
