Final arguments have wrapped up in the trial of Kelowna RCMP officer Geoff Mantler.
Mantler is accusing of assaulting Manjit Singh Bhatti during an arrest in August of 2010.
Bhatti's lawyer says Mantler struck his client while a fellow officer had his back turned while dealing with Bhatti's bicycle that had dropped to the ground during the arrest.
Mantler's lawyer says Bhatti didn't see who hit him because he was high on crack cocaine and suffered a cut to his eye after striking the police cruiser while he was being handcuffed.
The judge hearing the case will need ten days to come down with his decision.
