The Kelowna Food Banks Christmas in July campaign has been extended throughout the month of August.
The annual campaign helps to bring back the spirit of giving to help the organization maintain inventory through the Fall season.
Lenetta Perry Associate Executive Director says they only reached about half their goal.
"Well we set a goal of $200,000 in food and $50,000 in cash. We're over half way of both of those goals. There's definitely still a shortfall. We're looking to bridge that gap and meet that need."
Perry adds they appreciate anything the community might be able to donate.
