Kelowna KidSport is benefiting from recent dollars announced from the provincial government.
A total of $400,000 will be split between all the organizations across B.C.
Co-Chair Carolyn Gillespie says the money is needed as more and more kids are wanting to play sports.
"There are busy seasons in the spring for the spring activities and then again in the fall. So it is quite a popular fund."
Kelowna's share of the pie will help to eliminate the financial barriers that keep kids from playing or participating in sports.
