Fortis BC is working to restore power in South Kelowna.

Up to 1500 people had their electricity knocked out at around 11:30pm Friday when heavy winds and rain knocked debris down onto power lines.

A spokesperson with Fortis BC says there is no estimated time of restoration, adding crews are working to clear the power lines as quickly as possible.
