Cherry growers in the Okanagan have a huge smile on their face.
Perfect weather has producers harvesting the largest crop of cherries in the last five years.
Chris Pollock speaks on behalf of BC Tree Fruits.
"It is looking like it is going to be one of the larger crops in the last five years. 2009 was another good year but it will be around or equal to 2009".
The bigger winner, according to Pollock is the consumer.
"Now with the forecast looking like pure sun and our mid-season to late-season varieties, everything is in full force and we are expecting a large crop of BC cherries."
The value of this years crop is expected to be double the previous five year average of 22 million dollars.
