Crews remain on scene of Wilson's Landing
Hot weather and strong winds not helping the wildfire situation in Wilson's Landing.
The blaze is still about 30 hectares in size and Kamloops Fire Centre Information Officer Kayla Pepper says they've brought in crew members throughout the region to help.
"Wildfire Management Branch has 43 firefighters heading out there today. Many are on scene right now. We have helicopters actioning that fire and we have air tankers dropping retardent around the perimeter as well."
Pepper adds crews will remain on the scene until the fire is completely out.
Hold-over lightning is being blamed for the cause of the fire.
The blaze was originally thought to be 100% contained Sunday night, but strong winds and terrain re-ignited it.
40 - 50 homes are currently on evacuation in the area. Westside Road remains closed as crews are on the scene.
