RCMP seize two vehicles used to street race
The need for speed is coming back to bite two men allegedly caught street racing in Kelowna.
RCMP clocked the Chevy Camaro and GMC Sierra going 110 km/h in a 50 zone on Harvey near Burtch at around 9 o'clock last night.
The Traffic Services officer witnessed the vehicles revving their engines and changing lanes at exceptional speeds.
The driver of the GMC, a 48 year old West Kelowna man and the driver of the Camaro, a 58 year old man from Kelowna both had their licences seized and vehicles impounded.
They were also issued immediate 15 day driving prohibitions and served with violation tickets that range between $368 and $483.
