Bringing wine to restaurants will create new dining out experience
Still too early to know how local restaurants owners feel about a recent announcement that allows patrons to bring wine to dinner.
That according to BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association Okanagan Branch Chair person Dan Darragh.
"As we were building up to it, the restaurants that I had spoken to hadn't really decided what they were going to do. They were waiting for more information to come about. I think everybody in the industry, at this point, is still digesting the rules and what exactly they're going to do about it with their restaurant.
Darragh adds it gives patrons the opportunity to create their ideal meal and bring their favourite type of wine out with them.
British Columbians can only bring the wine to participating restaurants and a corkage fee will be charged.
