What is RSS?

'RSS' stands for Really Simple Syndication.  This is used by media sources who want to provide their news to many consumers via different platforms and hardware (ie your smartphone).  This allows many different RSS feeds to be aggregated into one customized feed.

How Can I Use RSS?

All you need to take advantage of RSS feeds is a program, app or website.  These are RSS Readers.  Google has their own Google Reader, which lets you browse and read many RSS feeds right in your Internet browser.  Your email program may even support RSS feeds!  Microsoft Outlook is one email program out there that supports RSS.  There are also many apps for smartphones that will deliver the news you want on the go!
