Acoustics:  It's a science that deals with the production, control, transmission, reception, and effects of sound.  That's how the dictionary defines it.

Sound is the result of vibrations.  And those vibrations can made by any object - a tuning fork, a massage chair, or even your own body.  If you tap your arm, you may not notice it, but you do produce acoustic signals as your flesh ripples and your bones vibrate.

It seems the concept of "Going Green" is everywhere these days.  Cars, construction, you name it.  Everyone is trying to reduce their carbon footprint.  And for good reason.

Undoubtedly, everyone should start with themselves in their own homes.  Recycling, reducing water consumption - all these little changes we can make in our homes that can have a big impact on the world.

But what about when you're at work?  Sure, recycling bins are usually readily available.  But it seems offices could places that can really make a difference by cutting down on their waste and finding alternate sources of energy.

I know, Valentine's Day is all lovey-dovey with chocolates, flowers, hugs and kisses.  And don't get me wrong... I'm all for Valentine's Day and celebrated the day of love this past weekend.

But after all the build-up on tv and in the stores... by the time Valentine's Day is over, I'm just "Valentined out".  So let's now take a look at the flipside to relationships - more specifically, a couple of semi-tech (but fully-inventive) ways to help you get out of one you no longer want to be in.

Valentine's Day is less than a week away.  So, "love" has kind of been on my mind.  I started looking at couples around town, and how happy they are together, and started to get that warm, fuzzy feeling.

And then I started thinking of the most random thing... beer.  More specifically, I started to wonder whether these couples are getting decent time out at the bar.

The biggest buzz this week in tech news has been, of course, the introduction of Apple's iPad.  Let's get the obvious joke out of the way - no, this is not a digital feminine product.  It's Apple's tablet, set to be released to the masses this Spring.
