Liquor store clerk held up by man with screwdriver
Fri, 2009-11-06 10:43.
An aboriginal male with a bandana covering his face held a screwdriver to the clerk's neck demanding cash.
Constable Steve Holmes says the clerk then took the matter into her own hands.
"The suspect did receive an undiscolsed amount of cash from the clerk. The clerk grabbed the screwdriver from the supect who ran away. He jumped into a white, early 80's, 4-door sedan - unfortunately we didn't get a license plate. The clerk was understandably shaken but fortunately she wasn't hurt."
The robber was wearing a long hooded green coat, a baseball cap and got away in a white sedan.
