West Kelowna thief makes off with Czech money

Cameras, lenses and jars of other coins also stolen

A thief made off with cameras and jars of coins, including Czech Republic money, in a break and enter this week in West Kelowna.

It happened on Tuesday, January 10th while the residents of a home in the 2600 block of Thacker Road were out for the day. 

The suspect broke a ground floor basement window and once inside went through an office area, bedrooms and the kitchen.  

Cannon cameras and several professional lenses were taken and several mason jars containing large quantities of Canadian, American and European coins.

Also stolen was about $10,000 in Czech Republic bills – a variety of $1000, $2000 and $500 denominations (valued at $500 Canadian).
