Director of Public Affairs, Allan Coyle, says a portion of the increase will go back to students in a different form.
“The students have recommended that there be a further investment in counselling especially in the Kelowna campus and in exploring nursing or health programming” he said.
The budget will go to the board for approval in March.
A year's arts tuition for an international student will increase by about 600 dollars.
