TransCanada closed between Revelstoke and Golden
A fiery multi-vehicle crash has closed the Trans-Canada between Revelstoke and Golden – and it's expected to remain closed the rest of the day.
Three semis and an SUV collided about 59 kilometres east of Revelstoke – and it's believed one person has been killed.
RCMP say the incident happened just after 9:00 am, when two vehicles collided head-on and then burst into flames.
An air ambulance has transported a number of injured people to hospital, but there's no word yet on how many have been hurt.
Drive BC reports the highway will likely remain closed until 7:00 pm.
