Daylight Saving Time this weekend

Set clocks ahead one hour Sunday morning

The Kelowna Fire Department says when moving clocks ahead this weekend – take some time to check the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon-monoxide detectors.

Fire officials say most fatal fires are due to smoke alarms that didn't activate because of dead or missing batteries, or because there were no alarms in place.

They also suggest a fire alarm be replaced if its ten years or older.

Daylight Saving Time takes place on Sunday at 2:00 am – when clocks are set forward one hour.
