Volunteer Community CleanUp this Saturday in West Kelowna

Drivers asked to watch for crews near roads

Over 100 volunteers will be helping the City of West Kelowna give the community a spring cleaning this Saturday.

Volunteers will be roaming the streets in West Kelowna clearing litter and debris from roadsides in an effort to make our community even more beautiful.

New this year is an invasive weed pull along the roadside leading to Rose Valley Reservoir. Last year, approximately 100 volunteers participated.

Volunteers are treated to a BBQ lunch in the Westbank Lions Hall parking lot after the clean-up.

Motorists and cyclists are asked to please use extra caution on the roads between 9:00 and 11:30 am on Saturday, April 29.

For more information regarding the Volunteer Community Clean-Up, please call 778-797-8800.
