A prolific Kelowna offender will be spending more time behind bars.

A prolific Kelowna offender will be spending more time behind bars.

27-year-old Nathan Fahl was sentenced to 30 months in jail on Wednesday for theft of a motor vehicle and operating motor vehicle while disqualified. He was charged after stealing an RCMP bait car last year.

With credit for time served, he will spend another 19 months in jail.

Fahl has a long criminal history, however he's most known for being involved in a 2013 police chase that left a 41-year-old paper carrier with serious injuries after being struck.

Fahl was originally charged as the driver in the incident, but the charges were stayed after 35-year-old Donald Brodie claimed he was behind the wheel.

Brodie is still facing charges in conection to the incident. He's expected to go to trial later this year.
