West Kelowna residents are still uneasy over looming flood conditions.
West Kelowna resident Dave Sander is hoping the worst is over.
After a night with lite rainfall, flood conditions in his neighbourhood are stable.
Sander knows the situation can turn in a hurry.
"It doesn't have to happen right here. If it is happening up in the mountains all of sudden it becomes a sea as well, right? This is very early for it (creek flow) to be this strong. We could be lucky. We dodged a bullet so far in this area".
Homes near McDougall Creek, which is prone to flooding, have been heavily sandbagged with more rain in the forecast.
"You never know what to expect. Mother nature can overwhelm you right? You wake up every morning hoping for the best", Sander added.
