A Kelowna man released from jail two months ago is back in custody after he allegedly broke the conditions of his release.

30-year-old Derrick Antoine has been charged with two counts of breaching his probation after he allegedly made contact with a victim and entered the boundaries of Kelowna, both of which are contrary to his probation order.

Antoine was released from custody and placed on a two year probation in March, after he was sentenced to time served for three assaults last August. One included a machete against a man in Ben Lee Park and the other two were against his girlfriend at the time.

Antoine remains in custody and is expected to plead guilty to the breach of probation charges on May 30.
