Kelowna RCMP investigating assault at motel

Police believe attack was targeted

Kelowna RCMP are investigating an assault that happened at a motel in the 2600 block of Highway 97 north.

Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says police were called to Canada's Best Value Inn, just before 5:00 am Tuesday, to find a 38-year-old man being treated by paramedics before being transported to hospital.

O'Donaghey says his injuries appeared non-life threatening.

He says police believe the attack was targeted and not random.

No arrests have been made yet – and anyone who may have seen what happened is asked to contact Cst. Kevin Hamilton of the Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) at 250-470-6302.
