Company cutting 2,900 jobs across Canada
It looks like the Kelowna Sears store, and the Sears Home Store will be spared closure, after the troubled company announced it will be closing 59 stores across Canada in an effort to stay alive.
Sears Canada is cutting about 2,900 jobs as part of its plan to restructure under court protection from creditors.
Sears says it will try to complete its restructuring and exit protection as soon as possible this year.
