Road closures to affect traffic during parade
The city has released details about the opening ceremonies planned for the new police services building next week.
Starting at 10:30 next Tuesday morning, a ceremonial Red Serge march will be lead from the old detachment on Doyle to the new building at Richter and Clement.
The parade will go along the most direct route – across Ellis Street and then up Clement.
Doyle will be closed outside the detachment between 10 and 11 am, with rolling road closures on the rest of the route as the officers pass.
The other closure will be one southbound lane on Richter, between Vaughan and Clement from 10 to 2.
