Female victim who was badly beaten is recovering
Kelowna RCMP have charged a 40-year-old Kelowna woman in connection with a vicious assault in the downtown.
The attack happened, early in the morning on June 4th on Leon Avenue – and police initially reported the female victim had suffered potentially life-changing injuries.
Police now say the victim continues to recover, and has since been released from hospital.
Melody Decoteau has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, robbery and breach of an undertaking.
She remains in police custody and is expected to next appear in court on June 20th.
