60 min delays reported with crews repairing flood protections
Expect major delays if you're planning on driving south of the city this afternoon.
Right now, provincial crews are repairing flood protection measures that were damaged last week, about 4 km south of Peachland, near Antlers Beach.
That's left traffic backed up in both directions of Highway 97, with wait times reportedly close to an hour on either end of the jam.
DriveBC says the work is happening up until 6:00 tonight, with traffic crews keeping only one alternating lane moving for that time.
