Dock damage could be as high as 75

Okanagan Lake level down another 1.5 cms

The high water in Okanagan Lake may have done more damage to docks than most people thought.

Of the 2,000 licensed docks on Okanagan Lake, between 1,200 and 1,500 need repair or replacement according to  provincial government estimates.

The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resources  advises all dock owners that a government permit is required before any work can begin to repair or replace a damaged dock.

Extra staff and a toll-free line, 1-877-855-3222 have been brought on to assist dock owners in receiving those permits.
