Pump prices at lowest levels since 2010
The myth that gas stations always raise prices on holidays appears to be dead..this from gasbuddy.com senior analyst Dan McTeague.
He says you can expect to find the lowest average gasoline prices in seven years when you hit the highway this long weekend.
The Canadian average is just over $104-a-litre – while in Kelowna, pump prices range from $110.9 to $112.9-a-litre.
There are a couple of reasons for the lower prices – refinery output has been strong, allowing inventories to build, and crude oil prices are lower.
The not so good news is you might hit some construction when travelling the Coquihalla between Merritt and Hope.
