The Regional District of the Central Okanagan says it's going to be inspecting recycling carts once again.
Manager of Environmental Services, Peter Rotheisler says while most people are doing a pretty good when it comes to recycling, there is still some confusion.
"They are starting to tell us that our contamination rates are too high. We really need to get on the ground to address this. We are going to be putting labels on people's bins. If the material looks good we will be congratulating people. If their is a lot of contamination in it, we will be putting a notice on that your bin won't be collected until the contamination is removed".
He says electronics, hazardous waste and garbage is being found in recycling carts, so crews will be taking a closer look inside later this month.
