Man airlifted from mountain after falling off cliff face

A man is recovering in hospital after being airlifted from Little White Mountain early this morning.

A man is recovering in hospital after being airlifted from Little White Mountain early this morning.

Ephrain Nowak with Central Okanagan Search and Rescue says the man had been hiking with a woman when he fell.

“The male had fallen off a cliff face, had some severe injuries, so COSAR was requested to do a medical evacuation for him.”

The man, who's in his late teens, had injuries to his head and was in and out of consciousness, but was in stable condition when transferred to Kelowna General Hospital after midnight.

A military Cormorant helicopter from Comox was used to airlift the man.
