Kelowna RCMP say they handed over the investigation after determining the death is not suspicious in nature.
The body was found shortly after 3:30 am on Sunday near the intersection of Ellis Street and Buckland Avenue.
Police say they positively identified the man as a 52-year-old from Kelowna.
