Killiney Beach evacuation orders rescinded

No floodrelated evac orders in effect any longer

Emergency officials say all flooding-related evacuation orders have been rescinded in the Central Okanagan.

The five remaining properties were on Hodges Road and Kilkenny Place in the Killiney Beach area.

At this point only a couple of evacuation alerts are still in place – those are in the Green Bay area of West Kelowna, and a small area at the mouth of Mission Creek.

As well, Pioneer Park in Lake Country and the greenspace on Kalamalka Lake have been re-opened to the public.

As of Tuesday, the level of Okanagan Lake was measured at 342.705 metres, which is a drop of nearly 14 cm over the past week.

The lake now sits 22.5 cm above full pool.
