West Kelownas mayor reacts to the resignation of Christy Clark.
"We will miss her".
Those words from West Kelowna mayor Doug Findlater on Christy Clark's surprised announcement that she is stepping down as leader of the Liberal party and the MLA for Kelowna West.
Findlater says Clark was incredibly helpful.
"I have been through three MLA's in my time on council, but by far it helped that she was premier to get things done. She was really good for the city of West Kelowna and the Westside in general".
Findlater says one of Clark's greatest accomplishment in the riding was acquiring funding for improvements along Westside Road and the municipalities water treatment plant.
Findlater says he was surprised that Clark resigned, calling it "A bit sudden".
