Vandals spray paint road signs with the words West Kelowna on them.
Traffic signs along Highway 97 between Penticton and Vernon are being vandalized.
In several instances, black spray paint is being used to cover up the word 'West Kelowna' along with the number of kilometres it will take motorists to arrive there.
West Kelowna Mayor Doug Findlater isn't impressed.
"Unfortunately it's graffiti and it's vandalism and it's going to cost one taxpayer or the other a lot of money to clean those up and it's sort of senseless."
Vandals have even gone as far as driving up the Connector to cover up signs with the word 'West Kelowna' on them.
"We don't know what their point is and at the same time they are spending a lot of their time driving around to do that", Findlater added.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has been informed of the vandalism but has made no formal comment.
