The RCMP have made a dent in Kelownas drug trafficking trade.
The RCMP have made a dent in Kelowna's drug trafficking trade.
During a recent undercover operation, the RCMP made 33 arrests for those selling illicit drugs on the streets.
Undercover operators posed as buyers and made a total of 64 buys.
The majority of the purchases involved heroin, crack cocaine and crystal meth.
"These alleged drug traffickers are putting the lives of others in our community at risk," says Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey. "We are going to keep working to deter this type of illegal activity. We will have made over 30 arrests in this one operation – that should help drive home the point that it's just not worth it."
The majority of those arrested are known to police.
