31yearold drowns in Wood Lake

Alberta man pulled from lake Wednesday afternoon

The BC Coroners Service is investigating after a 31-year-old man drowned in Wood Lake Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called just before 2:30 to the north end at Oyama Road and Trask Road, where witnesses told them that he hadn't come back up after swimming out to a floating dock.

A couple divers from the Lake Country fire department found the man's body in about 8 feet of water.

Rescuers performed CPR and sent him to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The victim was a man from Alberta.
