Thousands affected by downed wire in West Kelowna
BC Hydro is dealing with a power outage in West Kelowna that has knocked out electricity to 5,155 customers.
According to the utility's website, a downed line caused the outage at around 1:20 pm and they anticipate having power back on at around 5:00 pm.
Homes affected are located southwest of Westside Road – east of Highway 97 and north of Boucherie Road – also customers north of Old Raven Road and west of Juliann Road, and in the 39-hundred block of Brown Road.
