Highrisk offender busted in Rutland

29yearold Kelowna man facing numerous charges

West Kelowna and Kelowna RCMP teamed up to arrest a high-risk offender in Rutland Thursday afternoon.

The take-down happened at around 3:00 pm at the intersection of Moyer Road and Friesen Drive. 

29-year-old John Aronson was wanted on a number of warrants including a violent break and enter September 23rd on Ensign Way in West Kelowna.

In connection to the break and enter he was charged with Assault with a weapon, Assault causing bodily harm, Use of firearm during the commission of an indictable offence, Pointing a firearm at a person, Possession of a prohibited weapon, Break and enter, and Uttering threats.

Aronson remains in custody and was expected to appear in Kelowna Law Courts today.
