32yearold Dale MacPherson accused of running away from police
A man A man accused of running away from officers during a police chase is now facing charges.
Back on September 28, West Kelowna RCMP were called out to Merlot Drive for reports of a drunk driver, where they found 32-year-old Dale MacPherson, who police say they believe to be connected with other recent property crimes.
As he was pulled over, police say MacPherson got out and ran away, and was able to elude officers who searched the area with police dogs and a small airplane, though they did find a bag with a loaded gun.
MacPherson is now facing three charges related to dangerous driving and running from police, and is back in court on November 7.
He also has a lengthy legal history, with charges dating back to 2003.
In 2006, he was charged for possession of stolen property and impaired driving in Vancouver.
Then in 2007, he and Tyler McTavish were arrested for a break and enter in Mission.
All of MacPherson's charges were eventually transferred out of province.
