Heavy winds knocking down trees and lines
Update (2:20 pm):
Downed power lines are leaving plenty of customers without power today.
The largest outage so far was affecting more than 4000 customers and stretched from Summerland up to West Kelowna.
As of this hour, BC Hydro has not officially declared that outage restored.
In the Joe Rich area, 475 have lost power, mostly to the west of Highway 33, between Goudie Road and south of McCulloch Road.
Another outage is affecting 155 customers on Bartley Road, mostly north of the Lenz Road intersection.
52 customers are without power in East Kelowna, mostly on Dunsmuir Road between Hall Road and O'Reilly Lane.
On the West side, there's still a handful of homes without power on Scott Crescent, Glenrosa Road near Preston, Harmon Road, and Firwood Road up in Fintry.
Peachland outages are to 114 people around Princeton Avenue, east of Brenda Forest Service Road, and another 19 in the vicinity of Victoria Street and Gladstone Road.
Fortis says it's also investigating an outage affecting 76 customers in Naramata.
