Vandals tear up fields at Rutland Elementary

RCMP looking for witnesses

Kelowna RCMP are investigating vandalism at Rutland elementary over the weekend. 

Police were called to the school on Webster Road on Saturday where they discovered someone had taken a vehicle and spun out on school grounds tearing up the field – debris and chunks of dirt were flung everywhere including onto an adjacent sidewalk.

Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says they believe the damage was caused during the evening hours of October 13th – or the overnight or early morning hours of October 14th.

He says the full extent of the damage caused – and the cost of repairs is not known at this time.
