Road rage in downtown Kelowna

Woman in Hummer detained briefly, but not charged

A road rage incident brought Kelowna RCMP into the downtown over the weekend.

Several officers descended on Bernard Avenue after reports of a confrontation between the occupants of two vehicles shortly after midnight on Saturday.

Police were told the female driver of a white Hummer had pulled alongside another vehicle and started yelling at the two occupants inside.

They told police the woman also waved, what they thought was a weapon, before driving away.

Officers later stopped the Hummer and arrested the driver without incident.

A search of the vehicle failed to locate any weapons – and police say no charges were laid.
