Hodge returns home following hospital stay
City Councillor Charlie Hodge is home from hospital and recovering from major surgery.
Hodge posted the news on social media after he was released from hospital last Friday, and has said in the past that he hopes to be back at the council table by the time December rolls around.
Earlier this year, Hodge had surgery to remove part of his jaw, after contracting an infection.
During that procedure, a titanium rod was inserted to stabilize his jawbone.
At the end of last month, doctors took a piece of bone from his leg, and inserted that into his jaw to replace the metal rod.
Hodge says he's still got some recovering to do, which includes re-gaining full use of that leg, in the coming weeks.
