Surrey man now wanted for escape from lawful custody.
Surrey RCMP are asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted for property crimes, as well as escaping lawful custody.
46-year-old Richard Mantler was arrested on Thursday, December 28th for property-related offenses, and was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Shortly after arriving at the hospital under police guard, Mantler, still handcuffed, fled the facility through an emergency exit. Police were not able to locate him following his escape.
Mantler is described as a Caucasian male, 6 foot 2, approximately 216 lbs. He has short brown hair and hazel eyes.
