Candlelight Vigil Held for Murder Victims

Over 70 supporters came out in the cold to show their support.

Just a few short weeks after tragedy struck a Rutland community, friends and family of Clara Forman and her two daughters Yesenia and Karina are still reeling from shock.

Kelowna's Vicky Belteton may not have known the family, but that did not stop her from organizing and holding a candlelight vigil on Thursday evening to remember the victims.

70 people braved the snow and cold to show their support for the family, and to raise awareness for gender violence.

A celebration of life will be held in honor of Clara and her two daughters at the Grand Delta Hotel on Sunday, December 31st at 10:30 A.M.

34-year-old Jacob Forman has been charged with three counts of second degree murder, and will appear in court on January 18th.
