Chefs from across Canada will compete in the finale this weekend.
Kelowna will quite literally be experiencing some "Olympic flavour" this coming weekend.
The Gold Medal Plates project presents the finale to the Canadian Culinary Championships from February 2nd to 3rd in Kelowna.
Chefs representing cities all over Canada will face off during the event in hopes of winning a gold medal, as well as the title of Canada's "best chef."
On February 2nd, chefs will create a signature dish and pair it with a premium beer or wine, and on Saturday's event, each competitor will be given a short list of three unique ingredients to include in the dish they prepare.
Guests also have the opportunity to sit at a table with an Olympic athlete by purchasing a premium ticket package to the competition.
The Gold Medal Plates project was created to raise money to support Canadian Olympic athletes, and so far, $12 million has been raised.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at gold medal plates dot com.
