Mix of Snow, Rain, and Rising Temperatures for Kelowna

With most of the Arctic air out of the Okanagan region (save for some small pockets of cold air) temperatures in Kelowna are slowly creeping up. This is not coming without a good amount of precipitation, however.

A mix of snow and rainfall is expected throughout the week, much like what Kelowna residents saw throughout Tuesday.

Environment Canada meteorologist Ross MacDonald says a snowfall, which is expected as soon as tomorrow, will be caused by an incoming Pacific pressure system.

"This one's a little bit stronger, it's going to pack a bit more of a punch," says MacDonald. "Most of the energy is going to be along the coast, but it will spread some snow into the interior as well."

A freezing rain warning was issued Tuesday morning, briefly affecting some of Kelowna's roads.
