The Regional District of Central Okanagan advises Falcon Ridge water system customers of a planned water shut off, as crews begin construction of the system’s new reservoir.
The work is scheduled for this Wednesday, March 14th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM (estimated). All 55 properties connected to the Falcon Ridge water system will be affected.
Falcon Ridge water customers may wish to:
ï‚· Store sufficient drinking and household water for use during the shut off period
ï‚· Fill the bathtub with water to use for toilet flushing
ï‚· Use anti-bacterial hand sanitizer for hand washing.
After water supply has been restored, it is recommended that customers:
ï‚· Run a cold water tap for five to ten minutes to ensure that the water runs clear
Once the water runs clear, it is safe to drink and to use hot water.
