25th annual Big Bike Ride

Will raise money to fund heart and stroke research.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s 25th annual Big Bike Ride is coming back to Kelowna from May 2nd to 5th.

The event raises money towards research that helps treat heart disease and stroke survivors.

29 riders will power one huge bike, which will roll around downtown Kelowna for 20 minutes each of the four days.

Last year, over 70,000 riders across Canada raised over $8 million for research.

The event is not expected to interfere with the usual downtown traffic, although drivers are asked to keep an eye out for the big red bike.

There will also be limited parking on the south side of Cawston Avenue in front of the Art Gallery to accommodate participants in the Ride.
